I am on my way to my beloved home city and to my beloved ailing parents. But of course I am thinking of my adoptive country. With all its problems and contradictions, this is still is the best country for me, and the people in it are mine as much the ones I grew up with. That even the idea of America might exist, let alone the real country, still amazes me every week.
